A Versatile MultiDrain MD Channel System from ACO

The ACO MultiDrain MD is a lightweight system capable of withstanding loads of up to 11 tonnes. Rigorously tested and certified to high standards. Suitable for a range of applications from car parks to pedestrian walkways, to garage forecourts, the MultiDrain system actively improves the performance of your drainage and channel system.

The systems versatility is due to a new lightweight polymer concrete channel profile with integrated UltraSTEEL edge rails. These work together with a range of gratings designed for specific Load Class applications.  Available in galvanised steel, stainless steel and cast iron, to composite and brick slot, gratings can be easily changed to allow for replacement or maintenance work.  An anti-shunt surface between the edge rails and grating works to prevent any lateral movement once in place.

The UltraSTEEL rails use a textured finish to add to the systems stability by allowing it to better adhere to its surrounding. You can choose galvanised steel which sits on the standard channel, or stainless steel which is better utilised in applications which demand higher durability.

Improved Flow Speed

The MultiDrain system utilises a ‘V’ profile of the base channel, which helps improve the flow of water in the system. The improved flow encourages better self-cleaning mechanism, as well as reducing the necessity for regular maintenance. The new ‘V’ profile also increases the hydraulic capacity of the drainage system and is less less prone to blockages thanks to the bar-less Drainlock system.

The external profile of the “V” profile aids stability further by anchoring the channel more securely into the concrete surround.

The ACO M100D comes in 0.5 or 1 metre lengths, and has a male/female connector on each end to create a strong, watertight seal (with appropriate sealant) and allow for quick and easy installation.

The M100D comes with a range of accessories, including: a multifunctional end cap, a connection sump unit with silt collection, and triple lip seals. The M100D and its accessories are CE marked, and comply with BS EN 1433.

Level Or Sloping Invert

The M100D system comes with either a level or sloping invert.  The slope profile provides a 0.5% gradient (5mm per meter) which improves surface water take off and further enhances the self cleaning properties of the ‘V’ channel.
